But first my reason for starting this site.
My goal is to escape the very boring web as it has become. I want to revive the early days of which I was a part of when I taught myself inline-HTML, just for the fun of it.
I had created random pages on Angelfire and Geocities in the mid 90s which had traffic and connections to other creators of great, fun and wild websites. We need to bring back that magic. We need to be our own algorithms, take control of what we consume. We must rid ourselves of mis/disinformation, clickbait and ragebait. We must converse with one another despite our differences, agree to disagree, be civil rather than divided. And we mustn't be forced to be locked into isolated echo chambers that is not so social media.
It was from a few weeks ago that I watched a few youtubers who I've never watched before talking about the "Indieweb". They were excited to create in an environment which I though was lost to time and something which they had never lived through... It honestly put a smile on my face.
I must give them a shout out for inspiring me to get back to my web building roots:

You could argue, for me it's nostalgia, maybe a little. But the web has become so boring and lacklustre.
